Land of dreams shows us without complex the uniqueness and asymmetry of the rural world of India. It is the most unknown access key to India, a social map where shadows come to life. A scenario where the past is confused with the present, the natural with the supernatural and the fantastic.
Through the photographs by Cristina García Rodero, the exhibition aims to give voice to the women of rural communities of Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) and highlight their power to transform the communities where they live. Obstinate and disproportionate, Cristina García Rodero has known how to immerse herself in this world, merge into the joy and suffering of those who cover with color and elegance the chiaroscuro of their own existence.
The exhibition was organized by the “la Caixa” Obra Social in collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation.
