RDT recognises internship as a beginning of a much longer relationship between RDT and the intern. They are seen as integral contributors to the development of the community.
At RDT, internships may be part-time or full-time. Our interns can be from diverse professional and educational backgrounds, but they can also be village people who want to contribute to the cause.
An opportunity to put into practice and deepen theoretical knowledge of development issues
The platform to develop a more grounded understanding of challenges in an Indian context
An opportunity to learn advocacy, researching, campaigning, networking skills and operational aspects of development work
Opportunities to strengthen, scale up and build development programmes
Exposure to take action for development in their daily lives
Internship is a great option to better prepare yourself to start a career and get hands on experience about how a full fledged organization works. It helps you get out of your comfort zone and and reduces the transition time required from your academic life to a professional career.
While interning with RDT, you will understand the nitty-gritties of a range of development projects across various locations and how to become an effective professional as we provide opportunities across multiple disciplines. Besides this, working, collaborating and serving people from all walks of life will help you gather much needed “people skills” that are necessary irrespective of the profession you choose in life.
RDT encourages people from all backgrounds to apply for internship as not only it’s a good opportunity for them, it also infuses the organization with fresh ideas and creative ways of doing things.
